At Janus Solutions we specialise in the field of substance misuse, covering many associated disciplines including drugs and alcohol, health and wellbeing, criminal justice and diversity.
We pride ourselves in having a team of qualified, highly skilled and professionally qualified staff, with many years of experience and expertise. We deliver high quality, high impact services, in an environment where learning, growth, choice and awareness are all paramount.
Although respecting historic and traditional ways of working with service users, we do challenge those we believe to be inappropriate, and have created innovative and engaging ways of working with this group. We believe that service users deserve the highest possible level of support, delivered with excellence and enthusiasm.
We avoid language such as Addiction, Dependency, Powerless, Disease and Institutionalisation. Janus believes that the use of language can either liberate a client, or tie them to a lifelong identity with their substance misuse. Our aim is to work in a way that empowers the service user to live the life they desire.

Day Programme
Janus Day Programme is an abstinence programme based on the Janus Solutions model – The Resonance Factor. The model is based on the idea that that the most effective way to improve outcomes for problematic drug and alcohol users who wish to become drug and alcohol free, is to keep the focus on the relationship between the user and their drug of choice.
Aftercare
Janus Aftercare is not an afterthought, it is an individual plan designed to meet the specific needs of the clients. Access is available to any combination of the 7 day programme according to the care plan agreed at the outset. This can be altered subject to review. We encourage investment in Aftercare for those who have completed only 12 weeks of abstinent based treatment as clients often lapse at significant stages of their recovery journey.
Counselling
When a client comes to Janus they are often unaware of themselves fully, and as a consequence unaware of their true needs. What is created in our counselling space, is the opportunity for the client to explore their relationship with themselves, and this is achieved through the relationship that is built with the therapist.
Private Client Programme
Janus provides a confidential service to those who wish to access treatment with private funding. Access is provided to all aspects of the Day Programme and counselling service. A bespoke programme can be created to suit those who cannot access some aspects of the programme due to work

In our philosophy, learning, growth, choice, awareness are all paramount.
The service user undertakes our day programme to discover & develop internal resources, while equipping themselves with new skills & strategies they can put into practice. As a team we have created interventions that encourage the service user to constantly question their old behaviour and maintain awareness around their new found knowledge & responsibility.
The Janus approach is based on empowering the drug and alcohol user to change their relationship with their drug of choice. We use language that is enabling and motivating to help the client explore this relationship. We believe that clients have choice and that our role is to support them to realise their choice and make informed decisions. This approach is based on our model The Resonance Factor.
