Shared Spectrum

"Safe, non-judgmental face to face peer support and education for neurodivergent women and parents."

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Shared Spectrum was born out of my own lived experience. I am a mum to a neurodivergent child, and I am also neurodivergent myself, a discovery I only made later in life while navigating the perimenopause. Because of this journey, both of our groups are incredibly special and close to my heart.

I know firsthand how exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming it can feel to navigate these paths without the right support. That is why these groups exist. We are here to help you find your tribe of people.

Our groups run on a fortnightly basis, and we purposefully keep them small, structured, and never overwhelming. I wanted to ensure they are consistent so we can truly build trust, rapport, and deep connection at a pace that feels safe for everyone.

Shared Spectrum is a consistent safe space designed to support your emotional well-being. It is a place where you can speak plainly and honestly, completely free from judgement. Whether you are a parent looking for guidance or a woman trying to understand yourself, our groups are here to ensure you feel validated, encouraged, uplifted, seen, and heard.

What We Do

If you are feeling isolated, exhausted, or overwhelmed, Shared Spectrum is here to help you catch your breath. We provide a safe, consistent space where you can connect with people who truly understand your journey - completely free from judgement.

Here is exactly how we support you:

  • A Space to Speak Plainly: Our peer support groups run on a fortnightly basis. They are purposefully kept small, relaxed, and structured so they are never overwhelming. You can share as much or as little as you like, knowing you are surrounded by your tribe.

  • Validation and Understanding: Whether you are a parent navigating the challenges of raising a neurodivergent child, or a woman discovering your own neurodivergence later in life during the perimenopause, we help you make sense of your experiences so you feel seen, heard, and validated.

  • Building Trust and Connection: Because our groups are consistent, you have the time and space to build genuine rapport and lasting friendships with people who share your lived experiences.

  • Access to Specialised Guidance: From time to time we bring trusted, neurodivergent professionals, specialist coaches, and educators directly into our sessions. This gives you practical strategies for emotional well-being, hormone regulation, and navigating daily life, without ever feeling clinical or formal.

You do not have to figure everything out alone. We are here to help you feel stronger, more informed, and deeply validated every step of the way.

Volunteer

While we aren't looking for volunteers just yet, if we continue to expand in the future, we may look for someone with the unique lived experience of being a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman navigating perimenopause, who is also raising a child on the spectrum, so they can truly understand and support our members across both groups.
