Red2Green Community Garden

Red2Green has supported and promoted adults 16+ with learning disabilities and/or autism, across Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas, towards education, employment and independent living skills for over 25 years. 

We have a vision that everyone should be confident in their own ability, enjoy their life, be part of a community, have the best possible access to independence and if they should desire to, work. 

We support approximately 80 service-users, for up to 5 days/week, up to 50 weeks/year. 

Set in converted barns in Swaffham Bulbeck and a Community Garden site in Swaffham Bulbeck, we have 3 services, Options, Aspirations and Mental Wellbeing. We have also launched a new service called Encompass which support employers to champion neurodiversity and learning disabilities through fostering inclusive workplaces.

Having originated from Community Education, we promote the wellbeing and education of our learners and clients so that they can feel confident in themselves to live independently and gain work experience. As each of our clients come to us with unique needs, we provide tailored training and support to help them achieve their goals as well as break down barriers towards employment. Daily activities range from gaining life skills through growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our community garden and learning how to cook with them, promoting health and wellbeing; to formal AQA Unit Award Scheme certificates.
