PATH
"Providing assistance to healing through holistic interventions, creativity, and thoughtfulness."
Through our work in Croydon, we recognised that many people needed additional support as they moved forward in their recovery journey. We saw an opportunity to develop something different with a holistic approach that could help people not only recover, but to thrive.
PATH was created as an innovative pilot programme designed to explore new ways of supporting people in recovery. We belief that every person's journey is unique, so support should reflect that.
PATH aims to helps people build confidence, skills, resilience, and supportive connections that promote long-term recovery. Through a range of opportunities including wellbeing activities, complementary therapies, physical activity, gardening projects, learning, and peer support, people can choose what works best for them.
As a pilot programme, PATH is continually evolving. We listen to feedback from the people who use our service and adapt our offer to ensure it remains relevant, accessible, and meaningful. More recently, we have extended access to include young people aged 16 and 17, enabling them to benefit from a range of wellbeing and community-based opportunities and eventually, create a generational shift.
At the center of everything we do is a simple belief that everyone has a different story with different needs and deserve the opportunity to recover, grow, live well be heard and seen.
Recovery is 24/7, and we’re here to help you explore different interventions that can support your wellbeing, from the physical to the emotional.
PATH gives you the opportunity to try a range of activities and therapies and discover what works best for you. These might include gardening and cooking, swimming, yoga, mindfulness or reflexology. You can combine different interventions to enhance their overall benefits and create an approach that feels right for you.
For example, you might pair auricular acupuncture with yoga to support detoxification, relaxation and a better night’s sleep. Or you could try your hand at gardening, learn how to harvest what you grow, and use your produce to cook simple, low-cost, healthy meals or Muay Thai to learn a new valuable skill and join a supportive and caring community who want to see you succeed!
PATH gives you the freedom to be creative in your recovery, explore new possibilities and find a combination of activities and therapies that helps you stay focused on your path.
