"Billiards & Snooker For All"

Who We Help, Why We Help & the Difference It Makes

Billiards & Snooker Coaching

The WEBSF is a not-for-profit community group maintained by a team of Volunteers and Ambassadors. Through regular coaching sessions we aim to provide a safe, secure and informative environment where people can form new friendships and learn different skills.

Using Billiards and Snooker as a tool for learning, our regular coaching school not only concentrates on developing the skills of the game but also assists participants with increasing confidence, improving social skills and working on aspects of literacy and numeracy.

We have a diverse attendance base made up of children through to retirees with both male and female participants.  We also have some attendees with a disability.

We also promote tournaments and other events for all standards and abilities throughout the West of England Region, providing a platform for development to all levels including professional.

What We Do

The Billiards & Snooker activities we carry out provide opportunities for potential volunteers to become involved with a friendly team, that provides enjoyment and learning of cue sports. We cater for a diverse attendance base made up of children through to retirees with both male and female participants.  We also have some attendees with a disability.

Or as a participant where you will learn and develop new cue sport skills to fulfil your potential or just to play for fun. Side benefits include the development of literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Volunteer

We would welcome help & assistance with the running of Saturday morning Billiards & Snooker coaching sessions. Specific knowledge and experience of Billiards & Snooker is not essential as training can be given. We have a small team of Billiards & Snooker coaches that are willing to learn and develop new skills in order to further their personal development in order to provide an even better service to the community and meet the challenges faced by an inclusive organisation such as ours.

In addition to the coaching we provide other Billiards & Snooker related services to the community with which we would welcome help & assistance

  • Promoting and running regular, not for profit, competition throughout the region catering for different age groups and varying levels of ability
  • Help & assistance with the development of gifted & talented individuals (sport psychology, the importance of a healthy lifestyle & diet)
  • Advice and 'hands on' help on how best to raise funds through grant aid and sponsorship
