‘Alan and Joan’ – Searching for Support to Navigate Loss

The image features a visual and textual story that appears to be part of an awareness campaign. On the left, within a heart-shaped outline, there is a photograph of an older man and woman looking at some papers, with the man pointing at something on the paper and the woman closely observing it. They both have concerned expressions on their faces, which suggest they are dealing with a serious matter. On the right side of the image, under the heading "Alan & Joan," there is a text that reads: "Alan & Joan are retired. They have recently lost their son to suicide. At the same time this has meant they've lost contact with their grandchildren. It has hit them hard & they feel like their world is falling apart. They are looking for support groups to help them navigate their loss." Below the story, there are two hashtags: "#LocalSupport" and "#BetterTogether," which imply a community-driven support initiative. At the bottom of the image, the text "Connecting Communities โ€“ 1 Click at a Time" is displayed, along with the website "aDoddle.org" and the organization's logo, which consists of a colorful swirl design that resembles a fingerprint.
