National Share a Story Month
May 1 - May 31
Organised by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups, National Share a Story Month is an annual event designed to celebrate the fabulous world of children’s fiction and to inspire a love of reading by sharing stories. In 2025, the theme of National Share a Story Month is Saving the World, One Book at a Time. The plans are designed to celebrate both the joy of sharing stories and the importance of our local environment to our health and wellbeing.
Across the country Federation book groups and individuals run a whole host of events. Each year they are inspired by a specific theme and work with different organisations to provide people with resources and opportunities.
