Today is International Stuttering Awareness Day. While many people may develop a stutter in childhood, it is quite common for them to “grow out” it as they age. However, this doesn’t make a stutter any less of a challenge for the individuals who live with a stutter.
Fortunately, there are resources for people who develop a stutter and treatments which range from creating a safe environment where people with a stutter can feel more confident, to strategies that increase fluency and help to develop communication skills.
