World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18th of October. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing.
According to the NHS, menopause and peri-menopause symptoms can greatly impact your daily life, including relationships, social life, family life and work.
It can feel different for everyone. You may have a number of symptoms or none.
Symptoms usually start months or years before your periods stop and can impact your mental and physical health.
See your GP if you’re beginning to have symptoms of menopause or peri-menopause, and speak to your pharmacist if you’re interested in learning about treatments.
